· "All Are Welcome" To work at helping all who enter our midst to feel welcome, nurtured and loved. To set aside gender, racial, economic status, sexual orientation, behavioral, ideological and other biases to be as inclusive as possible. To respect and leverage our differences. Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, neither is there slave or free, there is no male or female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
· Intergenerational Ministry. To attend to the spiritual needs of all generations from the youngest infant to the oldest among us. To help the young embrace the faith and to honor our elders, embracing their knowledge and experience. Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it.
· Blessed Alliance Lutheran Parish. To support and share with our Lutheran brothers and sisters to ensure that we all thrive. Galatians 6:10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone and especially those who are of the household of faith.
· Neighbors. To be good neighbors with all those who are seeking their way in this fallen world, including those who do not share our faith journey. Mark 12:30-31 You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind and all your strength. The second commandment is equally important: Love your neighbor as yourself.
· Local and Global Missions. To use our financial assets and talents to further God's work in our church, community, country and world. 1Peter 4:10 Whatever be the gifts which each receives, you must use them for another's benefit as good stewards of God's many-sided kindness.
· Passionate Worship. To approach God with a level of enthusiasm that is befitting His love and grace. Psalm 103:1-2 Let all that I am praise the Lord; with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
· Health and Healing. To individually strive for physical, emotional and spiritual well-being. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you received from God? Therefore honor God with your body.
· Spiritual Growth. To effectively bring the Good News to our congregation and those we encounter. To seek God's guidance through prayer and to respectfully look to our Pastor for leadership and pastoral care. Proverbs 18:15 The heart of the discerning acquires knowledge; the ears of the wise seek it out.
· Societal Engagement. To educate ourselves about issues that impact our quality of life and those less fortunate, seeking to understand the broader picture. To work diligently to identify and prevent or intervene in injustice. Micah 6:8 And what does the Lord require of you but to do justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God?
· Communication. To effectively inform the congregation and community about church events and to enter into civil dialogue about social and faith issues. Ephesians 4:29 Let no evil come out of your mouths, but only what is useful for building up, as there is need, so that your words may give grace to those who hear.
· Gratitude. To develop an attitude of gratitude and a heart of thanksgiving. To be intentionally nurturing and grateful for those who are willing to serve and lead. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
